When can we arrive/when must we depart?
You can arrive after 1600, and should depart before 1100. If you wish to arrive earlier or depart later, please discuss it with us.
How far are you from the autoroute/motorway?
La Pantoufle Verte is 25 – 30 minutes from the motorway exits at Perpignan South (coming from the north) and Le Boulou (coming from the south).
Can I bring my pet(s)?
Unfortunately, as this is the home for our own pets, the answer is “no”.
What time do you serve breakfast?
Breakfast is served from 0800 – 1000. If you need to depart early, speak to us for special arrangements.
Is there secure parking?
La Pantoufle Verte is beside a quiet village lane with ample parking space. The gate is closed each night.
How far is it to the shops?
The nearest large town, Thuir, is 20 minutes away. It has a good selection of supermarkets, shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a bakery, SPA minimarket and pharmacy in Fourques just 10 minutes from Montauriol. Perpignan is 35 – 40 minutes away. Feel free to ask for advice – we’ve been here 14 years!
Although supermarkets open long hours including lunchtime and Sunday morning, many of the other shops are closed for lunch (2 hours!) and definitely closed on Sundays.
How far is it to the beach?
The closest beach is 40 minutes away. We have visited a lot of the coast, as well as quite a lot of the département, and are happy to pass on our experience.
When do you need to know whether we want to take the evening meal?
As we use fresh ingredients, we have to know 24 hours before you arrive. Once you are here, you can let us know at breakfast.
How far are you from the airport(s)?
We are 35 – 40 minutes from Perpignan airport. Further airports in the area are Girona (75 minutes), Carcassonne (1 3/4 hours), Montpelier (1 3/4 hours) and Barcelona El Prat (2 1/2 hours).
Can you provide picnics?
Yes, we can. It’s helpful if you give us advance notice so we can stock up with plenty of fresh ingredients.
Can we stay around all day? Do you provide lunch?
You are very welcome to spend your day relaxing at La Pantoufle Verte. We don’t provide lunch but there are plenty of comfortable, outdoor places to take lunch and we can provide crockery, cutlery and glasses.
How close are you to Spain?
We are about 30 minutes from the border. Travel times to nearby towns are Figueres (45 minutes) and Girona (60 minutes).
